1. Supporting details. Why are your points good points? In other words, what is the evidence that each point is true? This is the same as saying, "I believe this (point) is good because........". Each point will have: an example & at least one more supporting detail - fact, statistic, or expert opinion.
2. Other supporting details. In addition to your example, you need one more carefully selected fact, expert opinion, or statistic. Consider what you know already about your topic. You may use the details you had already identified doing 'Quick Research' (Lesson Three) and/or brainstorm more details. Identify the details which are most relevant to each of your points.
3. Select what you believe is the best extra detail(s) for each point.
4. Update your informal outline.
Presentation portfolio: Add the extra detail(s) to for each of your points to your informal outline.
